Orly Fall 2016 Mullholland Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have the Mullholland Collection for Fall 2016 from Orly to share with you! This collection is inspired by various places around Los Angeles! There are 6 polishes in total ranging from cremes to glitter. These are all available now, check out the swatches after the jump!

Cahuenga Pass is an orange jelly. I really like this one, its bright but not feels like a Fall orange. The formula was ok, it was a good consistency but pretty sheer. I used 3 coats for my swatches and could still see a little bit of nail line in real life.

Hillside Hideout is a dusty mauve with golden shimmer. This is my favorite of the collection, this is the kind of color I'm not normally drawn to but I love how it looks with my skin tone. The formula was good, it was a good consistency and easy to apply with nice opacity. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Mansion Lane is a grey creme. This has nice brown undertones to it which I enjoy. The formula was good, it was a touch sheer on the first coat but opaque with the second coat. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Meet Me At Mulholland is a sheer brown base with orange/pink shimmer and flakes of glitter. I love the idea of this one but the formula was a let down for me. I found it to be watery and very sheer. I used 3 coats for my photos are there are some obvious sheer spots on the nail, I feel like I'd need 5 coats to get this to look how I'd want it, and that is just not something I'm willing to do. I used 3 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Million Dollar Views is a bronze-y gold shimmer. The shimmer in this gives it a foil look. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and it had great opacity. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Party in the Hills is a gold and black micro glitter. This can be worn on its own or as a topper, I like it on its own the best! The formula was good, I had no issues with it being thick and application was easy. It is sheer but easily buildable and opaque in 3 coats. I would recommend a peel off base coat with this so that removal isn't a nightmare. I used 3 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

The Mullholland Collection from Orly is available now. You can find them at stores like Ulta and Sally Beauty!

  1. I just got this collection, and I really like it. I was disappointed with the formula of "Meet Me at Mulholland", too. But then I tried it as a topper over "Hillside Hideout" and I was really pleased with that! It probably will look nice over other colors, too. Thanks for doing this blog, I really enjoy it!

  2. There's some pretty nice colors for fall in this collection.

  3. Nice collection! Hillside Hideout is gorgeous. Orange is a surprise here.

  4. I honestly thought Million Dollar Views was Rage! Doesn't look as similar on the nail but in the bottle 😱 it's so close!
