Painted Polish Gone Haunting Trio & Stranger Things Duo Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have a couple of small releases from Painted Polish to share with you. I have the Gone Haunting Trio which is this years Halloween trio and the Stranger Things duo which is releasing this morning! Check out all the swatches after the jump!

First up is the Gone Haunting trio, this is available now as individual shades and as a set of 3!

Brains & Boo-ty is a clear based micro glitter with purple, orange and lime green glitters. This is a full coverage glitter but you could also use it as a topper if you wanted to. The formula was good, it wasn't thick and it was easy to apply. It was sheer but it built easily. I used 3 coats for full opacity but you could easily do 1 regular coat and 1 sponged on coat also. This does dry with texture and it eats top coat so you'll need a couple coats to get it nice and glassy.

Get Your Ghost On is the same mix of purple, orange and lime green glitter in a white crelly base. The formula was good, it was a little thick but easy to apply with good opacity. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

The Witch Is In is also the same purple, orange and lime green glitter mix but this time in a black crelly mix. The formula was good on this one also, it was easy to apply and had good opacity. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Next up is the Stranger Things Duo! These are inspired by the Netflix show, which if you haven't seen it yet you are seriously missing out. I managed to watch the entire first thing in 1 weekend, once you start you can't stop!

Monster On Mirkwood is a fuchsia pink scattered holo with black holographic micro glitter and a strong flash of aqua shimmer. I love this one, its a unique beauty and it just glows on the nail! The formula was good, it was a good consistency and easy to apply with good opacity. It does dry with some texture from the micro glitter, so you'll want to top coat it. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

The Upside Down is a black jelly with red glitter. I really like the effect this combo has, it looks like glowing embers. I love how Lexi interpreted the inspiration for this polish! The formula was good, it was a little on the thick side but I had no issues with application. The opacity was good, as was the glitter payoff. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below. This dried a little dull and with some texture.

The Gone Haunting Trio is available now at PaintedPolish.com, you can pick them up individually for $10 a piece or as a set for $28. The Stranger Things Duo will be available starting today, 10/5/16, at 11am PST. The Upside Down is $10 and Monster on Mirkwood is $11...you can also pick them up as a set for $20!
