Whimsical Ideas by Pam Hallowhimsy Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have my first of a few Halloween collections to share with you! This one is from Whimsical Ideas by Pam and its made up of 6 Halloween shades and 1 Thanksgiving shade! I really enjoy this collection, there are great glitters and a fantastic creme in here! Check out the swatches after the jump!

A Variety of Moss is a light sage green packed with gold and green micro flakes of glitter. The formula was good, it was a good consistency and easy to apply. It was a little sheer on the first coat but opaque with the second coat for me. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Bat-chelor in Paradise is orange circle glitter, black bat glitters and tiny orange and silver micro glitter. I really love the bat glitters in this, its so fun! The formula was good, I would suggest dabbing it on or sponging it on for best results. I did find that the bats stuck up off the nail a little bit, even after top coat, so if you have a strong C-curve to your nails you might want to skip this. I used 1 dabbed coat over Mostly Ghostly plus top coat for the photos below.

Dark And Stormy Night is black matte glitter and royal blue micro glitter in a clear base. I really like how strong the blue stands out when you layer this over a light color. I was worried about it not being seen much with the black but that wasn't the case. The formula was good, it was easy to get glitter out and the glitter payoff was good. I used 1 regular coat plus a little bit of dabbing over Polish My Life Picture This... plus top coat for the photos below.

Gobble, Gobble is metallic caramel and purple glitter. This is the Thanksgiving polish and I really enjoy it! I think it will look great over a variety of different base colors. the formula was good, it was a little thick but I had no issues with application and the glitter payoff was good. I used 1 coat over Polish My Life Pussycat plus top coat for the photos below.

Mostly Ghostly is a slightly off white creme, this has just a touch of grey to it. If you have been looking for a good polish similar to OPI's My Boyfriend Scales Walls this is one you'll want to pick up. The formula was great, it was a good consistency and easy to apply. I didn't have an issues with it being streaky and the opacity was good. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Taffeta, Darling is a brilliant orange with a strong gold shimmer. These kinds of oranges always remind me of goldfish...and I never get tired of them! The formula was good, it was a really nice consistency and had good opacity. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photo below.

Witch and Famous is orange, green, black and purple glitter in a clear base. The formula was good, it was a good consistency and easy to apply with good glitter payoff. I used 1 coat plus top coat over Mostly Ghostly.
