Additional Addictions: Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today for Additional Addictions Saturday I have the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette to share with you! Before I get into it though, how do you like the series name? It was a suggestion from the fabulous Amy of McPolish/PolishETC!

Originally I wasn't planning on picking this palette up, I went to Sephora for something else and saw this displayed and decided to grab it after swatching the 2 highlighters. In addition to the 2 highlighers there are also 3 blushes. The packaging for the palette is gorgeous, its extremely sturdy and has nice weight to it.

Champagne Pop is a golden highlighter. I had been lusting after this for a long time but never bought it because I was worried that it might not work with my skintone but I actually quite like it. Its one of those highlighters were a little goes a really long way so you don't need much to get a nice glow!

Prosecco Pop is a lighter more yellow toned golden highlighter. This was the reason I ended up buying the palette. I knew that if I didn't end up loving Champagne Pop that this one would work well for me! Much like Champagne Pop a little goes a long way!

Rose Spritz is a peachy pink blush with a strong golden shimmer. I don't really wear shimmery blush, since I have larger pores on my cheeks it tends to emphasize them but I'm thinking this will work well for an eyeshadow. The pigmentation of the blush is really nice, its one you just need to tap your brush in and you're good to go.

Amaretto is a warm brown toned rose matte blush. I was excited about this one because I don't really have any blushes this color but for me the formula is a miss. I found it to be very dry and patchy plus it was hard to blend out.

Pamplemousse is a medium pink blush with a slight satin finish. Its almost matte but there is a touch more of a sheen than Amaretto had. I found this one to be a little dry also but not as patchy as Amaretto. This is the type of blush shade I usually go for so I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of it!

The Champagne Collection Face Palette is available now at Sephora.com and in Sephora stores. This is LE and I believe it won't be restocked so if you want it make sure to grab it soon! This palette retails for $52!

First Impression Friday: Bliss Polish

Happy Friday! This week for First Impression Friday I have a few polishes from Bliss Polish to share with you! Bliss Polish has been on my radar for a long time, I always seem to love the polishes they do in collab boxes but just never pulled the trigger and ordered any. A couple weeks ago I stumbled upon a polish from a new trio and that finally made my order!

I placed my order on June 6th, the shipping times was insanely fast, I received my polishes on June 8th! I believe Bliss Polish is fairly local to me so thats part of it but even if I wasn't so close I still would have gotten them incredibly fast. The polishes were packed really nicely, they arrived in a little box and were individually bubble wrapped. There was also a piece of candy and a copy of my order in the box.

Check out everything I got after the jump!

Hi guys! Today I have June 2016 from Nine Zero Lacquer to share with you! This is a really gorgeous light purple holo. This has a linear holo and some bigger holo bits to add some extra sparkle. The formula is really nice, it is a little thick in a good way and easy to apply. The opacity is great, almost a 1 coater for me! I used 2 coats for the photos below. The first photo is in artificial lighting and the second is in natural sunlight so you can see how fantastical the holo is!

First Impression Friday: Polish My Life

Happy Friday! Anyone have plans for the weekend? Tomorrow we're having a memorial/celebration for my Grandma at a restaurant that she and my Grandpa really loved. I'm looking forward to it though I'm sure it will be a hard day it will be nice to see family that I haven't seen in a while.

Today for First Impression Friday I have a few polishes I picked up from Polish My Life to share with you! This brand has been on my radar for a hot minute because they offer a lot of creme polishes and I love indie cremes! I had planned on trying them out at some point this year then the Los Angeles Trio of the Girls & Boys Collection was released with a gorgeous cobalt blue and I was like :O and went to place an order immediately.

I placed my order on 5/14/16 and received my package on 5/20, the turn around was great considering I ordered on the day the Los Angeles trio launched...I always expect to wait a little longer when I order during a first launch of a collection. The polishes arrived in a box and were beautifully wrapped inside, there was a piece of tissue paper around the polishes and it was tied with a ribbon with a business card tucked in. The polishes were individually bubble wrapped once you opened the tissue paper. A+ for presentation, I was seriously like whoa when I opened the box...extra touches like that are never expected but always appreciated when I order from an indie.

Check out what I got after the jump!

Formula X Hera Swatch & Review

Hi guys! Today I have a Formula X polish to share with you called Hera. I was shopping at Sephora a while back and saw this a 3 other similar polishes on the nail polish display. I was surprised to see holos and had to grab one! This is a rose gold micro glitter with a nice bit of  holo thrown in. This is gorgeous in the sun when the holo comes out and in lower lighting when its more of the rose gold.

The formula was good, it was sheer but it built easily and was easy to apply. You will want to use a peel off base coat with this because removal will be a pain otherwise. I used 3 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

Formula X is available at Sephora, it looks like this shade is sold out online but you can probably still find it in stores. Hera retails for $12.50

China Glaze Bright Blue Nail Spray Swatch, Review & Wear Test

Hi guys! Today I have a review of the new China Glaze Nail Spray for you. China Glaze recently released their nail spray in 4 shades. You can also get a similar product from Nails Inc but I haven't tried theirs (and don't plan to, sorry). For those that are like wtf is this, it is basically nail polish in an aerosol can that you spray on your nails. It gets everywhere but is only supposed to stick to your nails sandwiched between base and top coat, the rest is supposed to wash off with soap & water leaving you with a fantastical manicure. When I saw this from Nails Inc I was like lolno but then curiosity got the best of me and I picked up a can at Ulta. Click the read more button below to read all about my experience with the China Glaze Nail Spray!

First Impression Friday: Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer

Happy Friday! This weekend for First Impression Friday I have a few polishes from Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer to share with you. This brand sells only polish from what I can tell and they offer a nice range of finishes from glitters to holos and shimmers etc.

I placed my order on 1/2/16, it shipped on 1/19/16 and I received it on 1/22/16, personally thats a little longer than I'd like to wait for an order but I did order during a sale so I don't know if that accounted for the longer processing. When I placed my order there was no turn around time listed on their site so I don't know if about 2 weeks is the norm or not. When I ordered there were so many pretty polishes to choose from that I couldn't pick and ended up just buying a mystery bag which came with 3 full size polishes. I really like getting mystery bags from new to me brands, its a fun way to try out the brand!

The polishes arrived in a fun pink bubble mailer, everything was individually wrapped and then put in a larger bubble mailer. There was also a business card and a copy of my invoice. Unfortunately upon opening the bubble envelope that had the polishes in it there was a really pungent odor of what I thought was cigarette smoke. In all my years ordering polishes from indies and other online places that was a first for me. I reached out to the maker just to let her know, I don't know her and didn't know if she smoked etc., sometimes with odors like cigarettes you don't even realize the smell is seeping into things like packing material or the like.

I heard back from the maker the day after I emailed her, she let me know that she did quit smoking recently but it was never near the polish and apologized. I appreciated the honesty and moved on with my life, then a few days later I got another email from the maker letting me know that she had found the source of the smoke smell and it turned out to be the wood burning stove in her house. Just wanted to let you guys know about the issue since stuff like that will affect me buying from someone. It's been a while since all of this happened so I'm guessing the maker has fixed the issue by now. I do appreciate the extra follow up from the maker and it changed my mind from never buying again to trying them out again in the future if something strikes my fancy.

Anyway...now that you've read my novel check out the swatches of what I got after the jump!

Essie Aim To Misbehave Swatch & Review

Hi guys! Today I have Aim To Misbehave from Essie to share with you. This polish is part of their Shimmer Brights Collection for Summer and its also their 1000th shade. The cap is all fun looking to celebrate that it's the 1000th shade which I really enjoy! I didn't end up picking up anything else from the collection that this is from but after trying out this one I might!

Aim To Misbehave is a sunny yellow with a yellow shimmer. The shimmer isn't super strong but you can see it easily out in the sun and a bit in lower lighting. The formula was good, it was a nice consistency and I didn't have issues with it being streaky. This was also much more opaque than I was expecting it to be. It did dry down a little dull so you'll want to top coat it to bring out the shimmer. I used 2 coats plus top coat for my photos.

Aim to Misbehave is available now, I picked mine up at Ulta!
