CrowsToes Orangeblooded Swatch & Review

Hi guys! Hope you all had a nice weekend, mine was good! It was nice to not have any cabinets to paint for the first time in like 2 months haha! Today I have Orangeblooded from CrowsToes to share with you! This polish was originally called "Finally...It's Hoodie Time" and it was exclusive to A Box Indied. Since A Box Indied recently stopped putting out boxes CrowsToes decided to re-release it under another name. I know some will be upset about that since it was exclusive to the box but I was pretty dark excited because I didn't buy that box and had been wanting this polish for ages!

Orangeblooded is a denim blue jelly backed with orange glitter. Its a really pretty combo and I'm so glad to finally have it! The formula was good, because of the jelly base it is sheer but it builds easily and way easy to apply. I used 3 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

CrowsToes is available at http://crowstoesnailcolor.bigcartel.com, it retails for $12. CrowsToes does their restocks now in PreSale format so its stress free to shop (which I LOVE), the next restock will probably be in the next couple of weeks!

Additional Addictions: Kitchen Renovation

Today I have my big kitchen renovation to share with you! This was a long time in the works and I am so glad to finally have it done! I've wanted to re-do my kitchen since I bought my condo but I finally had the money to start at the beginning of the year. Originally everything was supposed to happen in March, I bought all of the materials for it back then but then life decided to just be crappy so it was pushed back. Between my Grandma passing away and Degen getting badly hurt the kitchen didn't end up starting until July.

Once it started the progress was pretty quick, only a couple weeks between the old counters being ripped out and the new ones going in, the plumbing being done and the backslash going up. The longest project ended up being painting the cabinets, mostly because I decided to do them on my own so I only had the weekends to work on them.

To see all the before and after photos click the read more button below the slider image. Hopefully the slider works for everyone!

First Impression Friday: Doctor Lacquer

Happy Friday! Anyone have fun plans for this weekend? I sure don't, now that my kitchen is done I have nothing I really need to do...I'm looking forward to relaxing a bit! This week for First Impression Friday I have a few polishes from Doctor Lacquer to share with you!

I found out about this brand in a Facebook brand and was drawn in mostly by their thermals, they have some really pretty color combos. Aside from thermals they also  have a few other nice finishes so I decided to pick up 3 different finishes to get a good feel for the brand.

I placed my order on 7/2/16 and I received it on 7/8/16, so the turn around was pretty good. I ordered during a sale and a holiday weekend so I was impressed with how fast these got to me. The polishes arrived in a bubble mailer and wrapped in bubble wrap so they were nice and protected. Doctor Lacquer offers a couple different sizes of polishes, I decided to buy minis just for the heck of it. The brushes in the minis was nice and easy to apply which I was happy about, I wouldn't hesitate to buy minis again.

Click the read more button below to see the polishes I got!

Color Club Stamping Plates Review

Hi guys! Today I have something a little different for you, I'm reviewing some of the new Color Club stamping plates! Color Club released a ton of plates recently and I picked up 3 from Color4Nails, Sisi also added an extra 3 to my order to review...so I have all 6 in this post.

The plates are really nice, they have a sleeve they go in with instructions on the back and a hard plastic backing. The places are also gold which I think is fun, I don't have any other plates that are gold in my collection. The plates are fairly small but they pack good punch with 12 squares of images. I found these all fairly easy to use with all of the different stampers I have, I tried them all with a regular sticky stamper and with a few different clear stampers and could get most images to pick up with each. Click the read more button below for more details about each plate I have!

Nine Zero Lacquer Flakie All The Things Swatch & Review

Hi guys! Hope you all had a good weekend, mine was good...I finished up my kitchen finally so expect a before and after post coming soon! That's why there was no post yesterday, I was seriously exhausted. Today I have Flakie All The Things from Nine Zero Lacquer to share with you.

This is a really pretty holographic silver micro flakie top coat. This is loaded with tiny holo flakes and it looks great over pretty much anything. Because of how small and dense the flakies are you get really great payoff with only 1 coat. The formula is great, its a nice consistency and has great glitter payoff. I used 1 coat plus top coat for Polish My Life Commando for the photos below.

Flakie All The Things is available at NineZeroLacquer.com, it retails for $9!

First Impression Friday: Anchor & Heart Lacquer

Happy Friday! Today for First Impression Friday I have a few polishes from a relatively new brand called Anchor & Heart Lacquer! I saw swatches of a few of their polishes on Instagram and added them my need to try list a little bit ago. They were having a sale around the 4th of July so I took that opportunity to grab a few polishes I had been looking at!

I placed my order on 7/2/16 and received everything on 7/7/16, considering that they were having a sale, it was a holiday weekend and I live on the other side of the country from the maker, I'm pretty impressed with that turn around time! The polishes arrived packed in a beautifully stamped box and wrapped beautifully (picture at the end of the post!), there was also a business card and super cute magnet included. Overall A+ packaging!

Check out what I got after the jump!

Girly Bits What Happens In Vegas Ends up on Twitter Swatch & Review

Hi guys! Hope you all had a nice weekend! Mine was good, got most of my kitchen cabinets done plus some other odds and ends around my house. Today I have What Happens in Vegas Ends up on Twitter from Girly Bits to share with you. This is the newest polish in the What Happens In Vegas series that Pam has been making for the last 4 years to commemorate her trip to Cosmoprof NA which is a beauty trade show in Vegas.

This is a dusty blue base with a strong holo and strong flash of fuchsia shimmer and sprinkle of aqua holographic glitter. This is far and way my favorite of all 4 in this series, photos just don't do justice to how beautiful this polish is in person. I love that you can see both the holo and that flash of shimmer easily, that can be hard to balance and I think Pam did a really nice job with it in this polish. The formula was great, it was easy to apply and had a nice consistency. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

What Happens In Vegas Ends Up On Twitter will be available from today August 15th to August 22nd, this is super LE and is a single pour release so grab it while you can! This polish will retail for $16.50 CAD and is available at GirlyBitsCosmetics.com

First Impression Friday: Dreamland Lacquer

Happy Friday! Today for First Impression Friday I have some polishes from Dreamland Lacquer to share with you! I realized after getting these that Dreamland used to be called Smitten Polish (who I bought from and loved!) so I'm not sure if this is more like a second impression or what. Either way, its my first time trying out the brand since the rebranding!

This post is made up of 2 orders, 1 was direct from Dreamland and the other was a Hella Holo Customs order. Since the second order wasn't from Dreamland I won't be talking about that shipping etc. The order I placed direct from Dreamland was placed on June 9th, I believe the stated turn around time is 5-7 business days. My order ended up shipping on June 14th and I received it on June 16th. The polishes arrived in a bubble mailer and in little tubes. The tubes that Dreamland ships their polishes in are hard cardboard and the perfect size to keep them in because they are nice and snug...they also eliminate the need for bubble wrap which I think is great. You can see what the tubes look like over on My Nail Polish Obsession by clicking here, I apparently didn't save the pictures I took :(

Check out what I got after the jump!

Bow Polish Magnetics Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have the Bow Polish magnetic polishes to share with you! These are made by the same people who make Dance Legend, based on how much I have enjoyed Dance Legend over the last couple of years I was excited for these. Its been a quick minute since I used a magnetic polish so there was a bit of a learning curve, I actually still haven't figured out how to get consistent designs with these but they are pretty regardless. What I like most about these is how they look 3D when you move your hand around after doing the magnet. Check out the swatches after the jump!

Girly Bits August 2016 COTM Duo Swatches & Review

Hi guys! Today I have the August COTM Duo from Girly Bits to share with you! This duo will be available in unlimited quantities from August 6th to August 10th and back again in limited quantities on August 24th. Once they launch again on August 24th they will be available until they sell out or until the end of August!

First up is Dancing In The Moonlight which is a blue base with a subtle holo and pink and green shimmer. I really enjoy this one, especially because you can see the holo and shimmer at the same time, they don't fight each other! The formula was really nice, it was a good consistency and easy to apply. The opacity was also good, I used 2 coats for full opacity.

Sun Dog is a coppery gold shimolo (shimmer holo) with bronze micro flakes and copper shimmer. I like the name of this one, I always call Degen my sun dog because he often demands to go outside so he can lay in the sun and bake himself. Not only is the name great but the color is pretty awesome too, the holo is a little bit subtle because of the metallic look but its visible out in the sun. The formula was good, it was a touch thick in a way that made it really nice to apply. The opacity was also good, I used 2 coats for the photos below.

This duo will be available at GirlyBitsCosmetics.com in unlimited quantities from August 6th to August 10th and back again in limited quantities on August 24th. Once they launch again on August 24th they will be available until they sell out or until the end of August. Each polish retails for $16.50 CAD, however if you want to pick up both and you buy them between 8/6 and 8/10 you can grab them for $31 CAD which is a $2 discount!

Serum No. 5 August 2016 Swatch & Review

Hi guys! Hope you all had a nice weekend! Mine was good, but exhausting. I got about half of my kitchen cabinets painted white though so it was worth it! Today I have Serum No. 5 August 2016 to share with you! Its been a little bit since Serum has put anything out so I was excited to see that she was back...I've missed her monthlies a lot.

August 2016 is a brown base with a scattered holo and golden shimmer, it also glows green in the dark! The formula was really nice, it was easy to apply and had good opacity. It does dry a little bit gritty and matte due to the glow pigment but its easily smoothed out and shined up with a coat of top coat. I used 2 coats plus top coat for the photos below.

August 2016 will be available starting today at SerumNo5.com, it retails for $13!
